This training is in accordance with 391 NAC 5-006.09B, 4-006.09C, 3-006.10C transportation training. Individuals who transport children on behalf of a preschool, child care center, or school-age only center must receive and maintain a valid certificate of completion of the “Safe Kids Nebraska Child Care Transportation Training” program within 90 days of employment and every five years thereafter.

Individuals who transport children who were employed before the operative date of these regulations must receive and maintain a valid certificate of completion for “Safe Kids Nebraska Child Care Transportation Training” within one year and every five year thereafter.

We offer this course in English and Spanish. There is a 5 to 1 ratio of students to instructors and there is also a minimum of five students required to hold the course. Also, know that the ratios of your staff to children have to be maintained during transport.

Please call our Safe Kids Coordinator, Coartney DiGiorgio, if you have any questions or would need to schedule a time for the course.
