Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) is taking part in a pilot project to better assist veterans, service members and their families. The goal of the program is to build partnerships with the local community that will improve our capacity to meet the unique needs of veterans and their families.
3RPHD works with veterans, service members, and their families to identify their needs and connect them to resources in their local community. 3RPHD also helps community partners recognize the unique culture and experiences of military members. As a result, veterans, service members, and their families encounter providers who better understand military culture.
3RPHD encourages all providers and organizations to make their services known to veterans and their families by adding them to the list of resources on the Network of Care website. http://omahametro.ne.networkofcare.org/Veterans/services/index.aspx
