Public Health is the science and art of protecting and improving the health of communities through education, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and research for disease and prevention. Public Health works to prevent problems before they occur. The dramatic achievements of public health have improved our quality of life, increased life expectancy, reduced infant mortality, and reduced and eliminated many communicable diseases (Source: http://whatispublichealth.org .) It is the goal of Three Rivers to continue to bring about improvements in public health.
Three Rivers offers a variety of programs that help promote and protect the well-being of our community. Our committed team works together to offer many services such as immunizations, free radon and water test kits, call care, and personal health risk assessments, to name a few. Please browse through our pages for information on health services, surveillance & assessment, community health education, emergency preparedness, and environmental health, and much more. If you do not find what you are looking for, please feel free to call or stop by one of our offices.
